Could I bathe my guinea pig with a very gentle no lather, no soap hair cleanser?
I want to wash my guinea pig and dont have guinea pig shampoo, but my shampoo is very gentle, it doesnt lather AT ALL, 100% soap, sulfate and paraben free, made from mostly herbs and botanicals. Its called Deva Curl No-Poo hair cleanser if anyone can help me out i would appreciate it. thanks
I know they bathe themselves, but its not technically my guinea pig, its my boyfriend’s mom’s and she isnt home and the cage is dirty and the guinea pig is stinky and i think its got pee in its fur.
I’m not sure if your shampoo is safe. I know Baby Shampoo is relatively safe on rodents, and that is what I use to bathe my rat on occasion. However, bathing her probably will not help at all if her cage is filthy. The best place to start is with cleaning the cage. Otherwise, you are going to bathe her and then stick her back in that smelly cage and it will be all for nothing.
